Sugarcane crop will be Rs. 450 per maund next year: Zardari

Islamabad: Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari has said that the price of the sugarcane crop per maund will be Rs. 450 next year.

President Zardari said that with this price for sugarcane crop, the farmers and growers will help the country’s agricultural sector progress. The country will prosper When the farmers and growers are encouraged and provided the fruits of their labour.

Only when a farmer is content, he will be able to work hard and pay attention to his crop. With a fair price for the sugarcane crop, the country will be self-sufficient in sugar production. The time for the redressal of injustices meted out to our farmers has come, President Zardari said.
