Bilawal Bhutto welcomes new entrants in PPP
Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the mandate of the people from Karachi should be recognized and the mayor elections should be held immediately.
The Election Commission should immediately issue the notification of the winning candidate. Election process of specific seats in Karachi should also be completed soon. In a meeting at Bilawal House Karachi, Najmi Alam who was elected as Chairman from Union Council 11 of Sadar Town apprised the Chairman of the post-election situation. During the meeting, Chairman PPP said that if the next electoral process of local body elections is delayed, PPP has the right to protest.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Sports and Tourism, Awn Chaudhary met with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and apprised Chairman PPP of the steps taken regarding the promotion of sports and tourism in the country.
Various independent candidates, including those belonging to the PTI and TLP met Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Zardari House Islamabad and joined the PPP. Those who joined the party included TLP leader Rashid Mehmood Khan from NA-78 Narowal, independent candidate Rana Azizur Rahman from NA-96 Mianwali, former district president of PTI and former tehsil nazim from Bhakkar and NA-Ticket holder from 97 Muhammad Amjad Khawar, independent candidate from NA-93 Khushab Muhammad Ali Sanwal, TLP candidate from PP-82 Khushab Dr. Nasir Khan Awan, independent candidate from Khushab Muhammad Sagheer Awan, independent candidate from PP-48 Bhakkar Malik Anzar Ali Khawar, former city nazim of Talagang Qazi Mohammad Altaf, PTI leader M. Taj Awan from Mianwali and Saleem Raza Khawar from Bhakkar. TLP leader Rana Safdar Dilshad and former nazim of Tehsil Darya Khan of Bhakkar district Malik Nazar Abbas Khawar, son of Nawab of Kala Bagh Malik Waheed, Malik Amir Muhammad Khan were also included.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed the new entrants from different political parties who joined the PPP.
Raja Nizamuddin, Rehmat Hussain and Ghulam Hussain, sons of late Dilbar Khan, PPP leader from Gilgit-Baltistan Peoples Party, met Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Chairman PPP extended condolences to the sons of Haji Dilbar Khan and said that Dilbar Khan was an asset of the party, his steadfastness and loyalty are unforgettable.
Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, Faisal Karim Kundi, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Rana Farooq Saeed, Hassan Murtaza, Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Faisal Mir, Asif Bhagat, Sajjadul Hassan, Jameel Munj, Nadeem Kaira and Jameel Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
