Punjab Governor urges businesspersons to invest in CPEC projects
Lahore: Governor Balighur Rehman has urged the businesspersons to invest in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects to benefit both themselves and the country.
Talking to a delegation led by the renowned industrialist Mian Talat Mehmood here, the Governor maintained that the federal government had created vast opportunities for local and foreign investors by expediting work on CPEC projects.
“The economic stability and welfare of the people are foremost priorities of the government,” he added.
He mentioned that the current government was working hard to speed up work on the CPEC projects.
He mentioned that the opening of Khunjareb Pass was a good sign for a better economic future of Pakistan.
Balighur Rehman underlined that the business community had a key role in the economic development of the country and the government was determined to support them.
He said that countries are run through taxes and lauded the role of the business community in paying taxes and contributing towards the welfare activities to help the poor and needy.
He said that it is very important to facilitate the business community that would help create more jobs, improve tax-to-GDP ratio, reduce poverty and stabilize the economy.
