CPEC has brought far-reaching change in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw: PDM chief
Dera Ismail Khan Ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had brought far-reaching change in the Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province.
Speaking at a public rally here, the PDM leader maintained that the opponents of the CPEC had been defeated.
He contended that the development of Dera Ismail Khan had restarted after the merger of three districts including Lakki Marwat, Kirk and Bannu with the CPEC. “Now industries will also be installed in these areas,” he added.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman pledged that CPEC would be built not only the land route but also Dera Ismail Khan will be established as regional cargo airport.
Earlier on Saturday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his son – Federal Communication Minister Maulana Asad Mehmood – hadinaugurated the service area in the Paharpur Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on the western route of the CPEC.
Mualana Rehman and Maulana Asad Mehmood also inaugurated various projects on the western route of CPEC in the Paharpur Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan and laid the foundation of the Rehmani Khel Interchange.
Other projects inaugurated by them included the Wanda Meher Dil and Katta Khel to Rehmani Khel road and 132KV grid station in the Abdul Khel area of Paharpur.
