Work on CPEC projects being carried out at a very fast pace: Minister

Islamabad: Pakistani Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Musadiq Malik has said that the work on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects was being carried out at a very fast pace.

He maintained that the federal government was striving to upgrade the lifestyle of the Baluchistan people.

“Heavy budget allocation has been made to develop the far-flung areas of Balochistan,” he underlined at a media interaction.

The ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), he mentioned, had initiated the CPEC projects following the policies of its supremo Nawaz Sharif. “The development of Gwadar and Reko Diq would help bring prosperity for the people of Baluchistan,” he added.

About high inflation and the slow pace of work in Pakistan’s far-flung areas, he said the work had been expedited and will not be slowed at any cost.

He said that the government under the vision of PM Shehbaz Sharif had signed many agreements including the import of Russian Oil and the TAPI project to meet the growing demand for energy in Pakistan. He added that the drilling would be made for exploring Oil and Gas in Baluchistan areas.

He further stated that the local people of Baluchistan would have job opportunities due to different projects. He said that the incumbent government is trying to provide maximum relief to the poor masses.

He claimed that if the PML-N was voted to power again after the upcoming general elections, the parliament members will be allocated moiré funds for development in their constituencies.
