Officials from China, Pakistan review CPEC achievements over past decade
Islamabad:Officials from China and Pakistan at a meeting in Beijing have reviewed the progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor over the past decade. Special Joint Cooperation Committee of both countries also looked in the future opportunities.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman National Development and Reform Commission of China Cong Liang said Beijing has been Pakistan’s largest trading partner for eight consecutive years.
As a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative, the CPEC projects energy, transportation, and industrial cooperation were completed and had created over 230,000 jobs by the end of 2022.
