Pakistan has successfully completed several pending CPEC, Chinese envoy told
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal on told a senior Chinese diplomat that the present government has successfully completed several China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects that were long pending.
During a meeting with Chinese Charge d’Affaires Pang Chunxue, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to fast-track implementation on the CPEC projects, celebrating the achievements in economic growth, infrastructure development, and regional connectivity over the past decade.

The Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives said various events, including an international conference, academic sessions, and cultural shows, were being organized across the country as part of the 10-year celebrations of CPEC.
The Minister highlighted numerous projects related to energy, power, and infrastructure, reaffirming the government’s dedication to completing the CPEC projects under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Since assuming power in April 2022, he added, the incumbent government has revived the halted CPEC projects from the previous regime.
As part of the celebrations, Pakistani and Chinese companies involved in the successful execution of CPEC projects will be honored with souvenirs during a two-day international conference in Islamabad, Iqbal maintained.
Additionally, he informed that the Planning Ministry has prepared a special coin for this occasion, and documentaries on the CPEC will be showcased to mark the celebrations.
