High-level exchange of visits with China will continue: Pakistan

Islamabad Pakistan has said that high-level exchange of visits with China will continue in the coming months.

“With regard to important upcoming visits, I am not in a position to announce any visit at the moment. But as you know, Pakistan and China have robust relations and we maintain a healthy exchange of visits between the two countries. You will see during the course of the year that this exchange of visits will continue to take place,” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said at a news briefing here.

To a question she said Pakistan hopes anew Chinese Ambassador will be flying to Islamabad soon. “I would say hopefully very soon,” she commented.

Baloch said the 10-year celebrations of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor are taking place not just in Pakistan but also in China.

“Our Ambassador in China has attended several events in Beijing. If you would recall, our Minister for Planning was recently in Beijing to attend the Joint Cooperation Committee meeting, which was in the context of the 10th anniversary of CPEC,” she elaborated.

The CPEC has enters a significant milestone as it celebrates a decade of remarkable achievements in fostering economic growth, infrastructure development, and regional connectivity.

Under the 10-year celebrations, several events were conducted by the CPEC Secretariat in collaboration with the Planning Ministry which included international Conference, academic sessions, cultural shows and others across the country.

Mega projects worth billions of rupees have been completed in one year which indicates Pakistan’s the commitment.

Several projects of power, infrastructure, water and others have been completed in Gwadar which are ready for the ground breaking.
