Pakistan can never thank President Xi Jinping enough: PM Shehbaz Sharif
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan can never thank Chinese President Xi Jinping for his exceptional contribution in elevating the China-Pakistan Strategic Cooperative Partnership to new heights.
In a series of tweets , the Prime Minister expressed determination to work with more energy and passion to ensure the second phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) becomes a resounding success.
He thanked President Xi Jinping for his strong message of support and solidarity with Pakistan on the occasion of the completion of the “Decade of the CPEC).”
The message, read out by Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng during a ceremony commemorating 10 years of CPEC, reaffirmed China’s unwavering commitment to stand with Pakistan, regardless of changes in the international landscape.
President Xi also stressed the importance of continued collaboration and improvement in overall planning between the two countries.
Prime Minister Shehbaz praised President Xi’s vision of making CPEC an exemplary project of high-quality Belt and Road Cooperation, reflecting his dedication to the well-being of the Pakistani people.
Over the past decade, he said, the CPEC achieved significant milestones in areas such as high-quality infrastructure, energy, and socio-economic growth. As the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), CPEC transformed under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif, and Pakistan is eager to share this success story with global friends and partners, he added.
