Pakistani PM lauds President Xi Jinping’s vision and leadership

Islamabad: Pakistani Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has lauded Chinese President Xi Jinping’s vision and leadership, particularly highlighting the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, Prime Minister Kakar expressed the unique and strong bond between Pakistan and China, characterizing it as an All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, emphasizing the profound friendship shared between the two nations.

Prime Minister Kakar underscored the vital role played by the BRI’s China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in enhancing economic, trade, and technological cooperation between the two countries, said an official statement issued by the PM’s office.

He emphasized that CPEC stands as the flagship project of the BRI, illustrating its paramount importance.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s and China’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the success of CPEC and their dedication to collaborating closely with Chinese authorities for the prompt implementation and completion of various projects envisioned under CPEC.

This meeting marked Ambassador Jiang’s first official engagement with the Prime Minister since he presented his credentials as China’s Ambassador to Pakistan.

Prime Minister Kakar extended his congratulations to Ambassador Jiang, expressing hopes that he would play a pivotal role in further fortifying the already robust relations between Pakistan and China.
