Seminar titled ‘Understanding Pakistan-China Relations in the Contemporary Era’ held at University of Sargodha
Sargodha: A seminar titled ‘Understanding Pakistan-China Relations in the Contemporary Era’ was held at the University of Sargodha, organized by the Department of Politics and International Relations.
The seminar was graced by the presence of various faculty members and students, as well as prominent figures such as Dr Fazalur Rehman, the Director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies, and Dr Asia Saif Alvi, Chairman of the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Sargodha.
Dr Fazal Rehman, in his address, emphasized that the relationship between Pakistan and China is rooted in trust, mutual benefits, and close cooperation.
He also highlighted the substantial growth in bilateral collaboration across various domains between China and Pakistan in recent years.
He pointed out that China is actively engaged in partnerships with Pakistani universities for the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During the seminar, students had the opportunity to pose questions to Dr Fazal Rehman. In response to one of these questions, he underscored the significance of strategic communication as a critical aspect of understanding Chinese culture. He noted that learning from China’s policies, practices, and principles is pivotal for economic and social development.
Dr Asia Saif Alvi, in her address, emphasized that China is not just a neighboring country but a friend of Pakistan, highlighting the warmth of the bilateral relationship.
