Nayyar Bukhari named general secretary of PPP Parliamentarians

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party’s senior leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, assumed the pivotal role of General Secretary for the PPP Parliamentarians on Tuesday.

This decision materialized following a significant meeting between Bukhari and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad, where Zardari endorsed Bukhari’s appointment.

In the course of this meeting, both leaders delved into discussions surrounding the nation’s political landscape. It is noteworthy that a few days preceding this event, PPP’s Farhatullah Babar voluntarily stepped down from the position of General Secretary.

In a correlated development, PPP senior figure Raja Pervaiz Ashraf unveiled that the party’s nominee for the prime ministerial role would be former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
