Islamabad: The Italian embassy in Islamabad hosted a grand Fashion Show at its under-construction new embassy, creating a unique blend of diplomacy and fashion.
Despite the ongoing construction, the event drew an impressive crowd, showcasing exquisite dresses crafted by renowned Pakistani designers. Ambassador of Italy Andreas Ferrarese, while announcing his departure on January 15, 2024, highlighted the significant improvement in trade volume between Italy and Pakistan, reaching a historic two billion euros.
The event not only celebrated fashion but also served as a cultural exchange, fostering cross-cultural understanding between Italy and Pakistan.
With the new embassy set to be completed in April 2024, it will serve as Italy’s modern diplomatic hub in Pakistan.
The presence of a substantial Pakistani community in Italy, estimated at around 200,000 individuals, underscores the active participation of this community in various aspects of Italian society.
