PPP will spring its surprise in elections, says Nasir Shah
Lahore: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Nasir Shah asserted on Wednesday that his party will spring its surprise in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Shah claimed, “We will clinch more than 50 seats from Sindh. We will spring our surprise in Central Punjab in the upcoming elections.”
He took a swipe at the political opponents, saying, “Some of the people are escaping the elections by making different excuses.”

Asserting that his party was geared up for the elections, Shah made it clear that his party was not against the alliance in Sindh.
Shah stated: “The PPP had always faced obstacles in a bid to form its government in Punjab.”
Few days back, Shah said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government was an ”inept”.
Speaking to media in Quetta, Shah recalled the tenure of the coalition government. ‘‘The coalition government had tried to drag the country out of the quagmire following the departure of the PTI-led government,’’ he said.
He was of the view that the coalition government had saved the country.
Shah praised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. ‘’Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had visited the foreign countries as the foreign minister, which helped foster the country’s relations with the friendly countries,’’ he stated.
He commended the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the interim prime minister for the sake of the country’s betterment.
Shah asserted the PPP’s Foundation Day rally, scheduled to be held tomorrow in Quetta, will ”leave its mark in history”.
