Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese, Albana Ferrarese greet Pakistanis, Italians on Christmas

Islamabad: Italy’s Ambassador to Pakistan Andreas Ferrarese and his wife Albana Ferrarese on Sunday wished Pakistanis and Italians a Merry Christmas.
In a joint message they said the followers of different religions observe their holidays in different ways but they do many things in common, such as visiting family and eating special food.
They pointed out that many people volunteer their time during holidays to help people in need.
The Christian community is celebrating the joyous occasion of Christmas with fervour and enthusiasm across the world today Monday.
Vibrant displays of Christmas trees and Stars of David adorn churches, homes, and neighbourhoods, while electric lanterns illuminates houses and streets.
The festive celebrations commenced with Sunday mass in all churches. Christian priests conveyed the teachings of Jesus Christ, accompanied by special songs and prayers for peace, security, prosperity, and development in the country.
In the spirit of Christmas, community members, from men to children, have adorned themselves with new clothes and exchanged greetings, gifts, and well-wishes.
