Chinese embassy delegation visits CPO in Islamabad
Islamabad: ?A delegation representing the People’s Republic of China’s embassy in Pakistan paid a visit to the Central Police Office (CPO) in Islamabad, where they had a meeting with Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO).
The meeting was attended by the Additional Inspector General of Police from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other senior police officers.
During this visit, the Chinese Consular, heading the delegation, presented protective equipment to both the Islamabad Capital Police and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on behalf of the People’s Republic of China.
In response, the ICCPO conveyed his thanks to the Chinese Ambassador and informed the delegation about the security measures undertaken by the Islamabad Capital Police for the protection of the Chinese Embassy.
The delegation was also briefed on the establishment of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) within the Islamabad Capital Police. Furthermore, the ICCPO expressed appreciation for the People’s Republic of China’s support in organizing various training programs aimed at enhancing the capacity building of police officials.
In return, the Chinese delegation praised the efforts of the Government of Pakistan and the Islamabad Capital Police in ensuring the effective security of Chinese citizens within the country.
The delegation members expressed their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation between the Islamabad Capital Police and the Beijing Police in the future.
The visit highlighted the collaborative efforts between the two nations in matters of security and law enforcement, with a focus on continuing and expanding this cooperation in the times to come.
