Consulate General of Italy in Karachi led by Danilo Giurdanella welcomes new Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin

Islamabad: Consulate General of Italy in Karachi, led by Consul General Danilo Giurdanella has welcomed new Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin after her recent arrival.
“Consolato d’italia a Karachi welcomes H.E. Marilina Armellin to Pakistan as Ambassador of Italy,” said an official post on Facebook.
It added: “Here’s wishing her all the best for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Italy in promoting trade, economics, culture and arts with strong people to people connection and close engagement with public offices.”
Ambassador-designate Marilina Armellin recently arrived in Pakistan and will soon present her credentials to the President of Pakistan.
In an arrival statement the senior diplomat said: “Proud to represent Italy in Pakistan, a land with a millennial history and a future full of opportunities and challenges, in a region that is strategic to global equilibria. I will leverage the well-established bilateral relations and the Pakistani community in Italy – the largest in the European Union – and its many entrepreneurs, workers and students to harness even further the growth potential of our relationship.”
Consul General Danilo Giurdanella was in Islamabad last week to meet the new envoy and discuss the matters of interest.
