More gains for PML-N to boost numbers for coalitions
Lahore: Boosting its numbers in a bid to forge coalition governments in the Centre and Punjab, the PML-N secured one more National Assembly seat and six more seats in the Punjab Assembly on Friday.
In an important meeting with Maryam Nawaz, PML-N’s nominee for Punjab chief minister slot, Rashid Akbar Nawani, the winner from Bhakar’s NA-92 constituency, announced his joining of the PML-N.
Similarly, winning candidates from Punjab Assembly seats – Ahmed Nawaz Nawani from PP-90 Bhakar, Amir Inayat Shahani from PP-92 Bhakar and PP-93 Bhakar, Rana Abdul Mannan from PP-272 Muzaffargarh, Akbar Hayat Hiraj from PP-205 Khanewal, and Asghar Hayat Hiraj from PP-212 Khanewal – announced their allegiance to the PML-N ranks.
PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz congratulated them on winning the elections and welcomed their inclusion in the party. The occasion was also witnessed by PML-N Punjab chapter President Rana Sanaullah and senior party leader Pervaiz Rasheed.
According to details, these politicians won from their respective constituencies as independent candidates and expressed full confidence in the leadership of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
They said that they decided to join the PML-N after consulting with the electorate and constituents.
They also noted the historic record of service by Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and the PML-N for Pakistan, its people and the province of Punjab.
They were of the considered opinion that the ability to lead Pakistan out of the crises it was in lied only with the PML-N.
Maryam Nawaz appreciated the enthusiasm and nationalistic thinking of the new members, stating that their inclusion in the endeavour to build Pakistan would be very helpful in pulling the country and its people out of difficulties.
