Romina, Azerbaijani Ambassador vow to maintain close collaboration for pre-COP & post-cop arrangements

Islamabad: PM’s Coordinator on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Romina Khurshid Alam on Tuesday held a meeting with Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov where both sides vowed to maintain close collaboration for pre-COP and post-cop arrangements alongside the commitment to raise the same voice and stance during the global summit.
The PM’s Coordinator on climate change & environmental coordination held the meeting with Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss upcoming UN led global climate summit COP-29 being held in Azerbaijan in November this year, a news release said.
Pakistan offered Azerbaijan all the technical expertise which they required in connection with COP-29. The ambassador while thanking the offer of Pakistan stated, “our goals are same so inevitably our future is same. Azerbaijan immensely values it’s ties with Pakistan.”
The both sides reiterated for consistent engagements, people-to-people exchange for enhancing business & trade and sustainable development.
