Brussels: Labourers’ role in the development of the society is praiseworthy: Ali Raza Syed
Brussels: Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (EU) Ali Raza Syed has said that the role of workers and labourers in the development of the society is praiseworthy and commendable.
On the occasion of International Labour Day, he said in a statements that International Labour Day is a day to recognize and pay tribute to the tireless work and efforts of labourers in the development and prosperity of society.
Expressing solidarity with the labourers of the world, he said that we should reiterate on this day that we will strive to ensure social and economic security of the workers, fair wages and a safe and conducive environment for their work.
Ali Raza Syed said that labourers play a key role in the development and success of society. We must take care of the dignity of the workers and their rights and create facilities for them.
He further said that just as the minimum wages of workers are fixed in developed western countries, minimum wages should also be fixed for workers in developing and less developed countries as well.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that employers should value and respect the workers, give them fair compensation for their efforts and take care of their health and safety.
He said that a labourer sheds his blood and sweat to feed his family and develop the society. We have to realize that a labourer is living in today’s era of inflation and how he is coping with the difficulties?
Ali Raza Syed said that the implementation of existing laws for the rights of workers in the world should be ensured and steps should be taken for better legislation in the context.
Ali Raza Syed said that the people of Indian illegally Occupied Kashmir, especially the workers there, are facing severe difficulties due to the military operations by Indian occupation forces. The international community should take measures for the rights of the people of Occupied Kashmir, especially the fundamental rights of Kashmiri workers. International human rights organizations and international labor organizations should also raise their voices for Kashmiri workers.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU demanded from all the countries and governments of the world, especially the governments and proprietors in developing and less developed countries, to take care of the rights of workers without discrimination declare financial support and special incentives for the workers facing inflation and financial difficulties.
