Pakistani minister discusses digitalization, connectivity, Spectrum auction and 5G rollout with Zong chief
Islamabad: Pakistani Minister of State for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has discussed digitalization, connectivity, Spectrum auction and 5G rollout with Chinese giant Zong’s chief Huo Junli.
In a meeting here with Zong Chief Executive Officer Huo Junli, who called on her, Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that the promotion of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) was the priority of the government. She said that the Ministry of IT & Telecom was focusing on the provision of better connectivity services across the country.
“Matters regarding digitalization, connectivity, Spectrum auction and 5G rollout were discussed in the meeting,” read an official statement. The minister mentioned that issues relating Telecommunication will be resolved. Quality digital services can be provided by using latest technology, adding that the better use of technology is pivotal for the uplift of country.
She noted that strong digital ecosystem is the base of digitalization. CEO Zong said that Ministry of IT and telecom industry can jointly put Pakistan on the path of better digital future.
The meeting was also attended by Member Telecom Muhammad Jahanzeb Rahim.
