A celebration of Lusophonie: World Portuguese Language Day

Islamabad: Every year on May 5th, the world comes together to celebrate World Portuguese Language Day.

Established in 2009 by the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP), this day was officially recognized by UNESCO’s General Conference ten years later in 2019.
