Sofia: Cobbled streets, crumbling walls, wooden houses and narrow alleys testify to the ancient history of this city. The only place from Bulgaria, ancient Nessebar, has been under the protection of UNESCO since 1983. Over three thousand years old, the Bulgarian city is one of the most visited on the entire coast of this country.

The blueness of the sky does not differ from that of the sea, and the boats on the shore add to its charm. There is also no lack of colors, which are numerous around the narrow alleys.

Exploring this European country is impossible without the “Fibula” tourist agency. Nessebar is not the only destination that Kosovars feel nostalgic for when visiting Bulgaria.

“This year’s innovation for the summer of 2024 is the Bulgarian Riviera. We will place a charter flight from June 18 and will have until the end of September. The interest is very great, there are great demands for Bulgaria because it is a new destination and since we are visa free, so we do not need visas, people travel freely and will come to visit Bulgaria, as they have visited before. So they are nostalgic for Bulgaria, which was a long time ago, but the hotels are much better now and the conditions are much better than before”, says Shpëtim Turku from the “Fibula” Tourist Agency.

Flights from Prishtina to Burgas will be every Tuesday, departing from 07:00 and returning at 10:00.

“First of all, it is a new destination and the prices are very affordable for our budget and range from 399 euros to 800-900 euros, but the average is 600 to 700 euros for seven days and seven nights of accommodation in Bulgaria with the all or ultra concept. -inclusive…Bulgaria used to be more popular for skiing, because people went for four to seven days at most. The interest is very high since Bulgaria is new this year”, adds Turku.

With the liberalization of visas, for the first time this year, tourists from Kosovo will have the opportunity to explore the beauties of Bulgaria.

“Taking into account the liberalization of visas, the opportunity has been created for Kosovars to move to other countries that have been under the visa regime. You know that in recent years, Kosovars have had special focus on Albania, Montenegro, Turkey and these countries which have not had visa liberalization. Now with the liberalization of visas, Kosovars have started to move and explore other countries that were under the visa regime. One of them is Bulgaria, where the Tourism Union supports tourist agencies, its members, and we are trying to establish as many contacts as possible with tour operators from Bulgaria, not only to send citizens of Kosovo to Bulgaria. but also to bring in the off-season from Bulgaria to visit Kosovo”, says the director of the Kosovo Tourism Union, Baki Hoti.

Bulgaria is seen as a good opportunity to invite citizens for tourism in Kosovo as well.

“Only in the last two months we have an increase of over 50.8 percent in the number of tourists. And this is an extremely good opportunity that the Union of Tourism of Kosovo uses, where through activities, meetings but also various fairs, it tries to promote Kosovo in its possibilities. Therefore, it is a very good opportunity to invite many businesses, different tour operators to cooperate with Kosovo in order to bring visitors to Kosovo”, he adds.
