Italy says no to using NATO weapons for Russia strikes
Rome: Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni has said she is against Ukraine using Western-supplied weapons for strikes inside Russian territory after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reportedly told The Economist Kyiv’s allies should consider allowing it.
“We must be very prudent,” Meloni said. “NATO must not give off the signal that it is giving in. “But there have been many questionable statements. I advise more prudence”.
Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said Stoltenberg should “apologise, rectify or resign. “He cannot speak for us,” added the League leader.
