Efforts underway to provide maximum relief to people in upcoming budget: Musadik Malik

Islamabad: Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik said that every ministry has been assigned with targets to control inflation.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that the prime minister has directed all the ministries to ensure that the poor get job opportunities and have maximum relief in inflation.
“The government is committed to provide every possible relief to the common man as per instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,” he said.
He said that the country is heading towards development despite all the domestic and international challenges.

According to petroleum minister, the efforts are underway to provide maximum relief to the people in upcoming budget.
He said that the inflation rate has decreased to 17 from 37 percent.
“The food inflation was at 40 percent last year which has now decreased to almost 11 percent,” he said.
We are also trying to decrease the prices of petroleum products, he added.
