Fire Reported in Sunflower Oil Refinery in N Bulgaria, Nobody Is Hurt

A fire occurred in a sunflower oil refinery in Knezha. Confirming the reports for BTA, Mayor Iliicho Lachovski said that the situation is now under control and that nobody has been hurt.

The oil refinery has been sealed off because the area is highly flammable, he said. Fire engines and police will remain on duty at the site to make sure the flames don’t start again.

According to Lachovski, the fire service reacted swiftly. Teams of firefighters from nearby Byana Slatina, Cherven Bryag, Pleven and Knezhda were sent to suppress the fire.
