Pakistan to send 1000 graduates of agriculture studies to China for higher education, training

Islamabad: Pakistan will send 1000 graduates of agriculture studies to China for higher education and training.

The decision took place at a meeting of Minister Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan XU Hangtian with Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad.

The meeting finalized the process for sending agri graduates to China as the scholarship was announced during recent visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China.

The scholarship aims at enhancing capacity and expertise of Pakistani graduates in food and agriculture sectors.

Students will learn modern agricultural practices, technical skills, innovative techniques and research in agriculture sector in China.

The training will cover specific skills in agriculture and food safety. Students will be selected from all over Pakistan while students from Balochistan will be given preference.

Confucius Institute of Agriculture University Faisalabad will implement the program.
