Pakistan Focuses on Privatization of Loss-Making Institutions to Boost Economy, Says Minister

Islamabad: Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday said that loss-making institutions are being privatized as a strategy to bolster Pakistan’s economy.
Speaking with French Ambassador Nicolas Galle in Islamabad, Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the potential for these institutions to achieve profitability and enhance performance.
Aleem Khan reaffirmed the government’s dedication to completing the Karachi to Sukkur motorway, emphasizing its role in connecting Pakistan’s road network with China and Central Asian countries to stimulate regional trade.
Ambassador Galle expressed France’s keen interest in investing across diverse sectors and expanding business activities in Pakistan. The discussions also encompassed various proposals aimed at boosting bilateral trade between the two nations.
