Shaza, Australian High Commissioner discuss digitalization, fiberization issues

Islamabad: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins discussed matters of bilateral interest, IT and Telecommunication, digitalization, fiberization, and cybersecurity

Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima during a meeting said that the present government is focused upon digitalization in the country. She said that digitalization of the economy is top government topmost priority.

Governance and society are also being digitalised under National Digitalization Plan, she added.

She said that work is going on National Fiberization Policy, as robust fiberization is utmost necessary for 5G technology in the country.

Shaza Fatima said Ministry of IT & Telecom is committed for ending digital gender divide.

She said that startups exchange program can be started between Pakistan and Australia.

Director General International Coordination, MoITT Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi was also present in the meeting.
