Punjab University Confucius Institute organizes summer camp in China

Lahore: The Punjab University Confucius Institute organized a summer camp in China, where a group of 19 students from various Pakistani universities embarked on a captivating two-week adventure to explore China’s vibrant culture and rich history.

Guided by Professor Cai JinBao, the Chinese Director at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST), the students were warmly welcomed in Guangzhou, said an official statement issued here on Friday afternoon.

Their itinerary included a high-speed train ride, Chinese calligraphy, Kung Fu classes, traditional arts, historic explorations, and visits to the Fushou Canal, Wei’s Family House, and local museums, providing deep insights into China’s storied past.

City highlights featured tours of Guangzhou Tower, Shenzhen Bay Park, and a full-day exploration of Zhuhai.

The students expressed their gratitude to Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Host Director of PU Confucius Institute Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, and Yang Bin, President of JXUST, for their exceptional support and coordination in organizing the 2024 summer camp.
