Pakistan embassy Brussels commemorates Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir

Brussels: The Pakistan embassy in Brussels observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on Monday, marking the continued struggle and suffering of Kashmiris under Indian occupation.

Held at the embassy premises, the event featured prominent speakers who underscored the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The event commenced with the readout of messages from President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister /Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, reiterating the nation’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

A recorded message from Mushahid Hussain Syed, a key figure in Pakistan’s political landscape, emphasized the global community’s responsibility in addressing the Kashmir issue.

President of the Pakistan Press Club Belgium Imran Saqib, delivered a moving poem dedicated to Kashmir, reflecting deep emotional solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Chairman of Kashmir Council-EU Ali Raza Syed, provided a comprehensive address on the severe human rights violations in IIOJK, particularly those intensified since the unlawful actions of August 5, 2019.

Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg Amna Baloch, delivered a powerful keynote address, stressing the importance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir.

She called upon the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations to end the ongoing human rights abuses in IIOJK.

Ambassador Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Kashmiri people’s just struggle for self-determination.

Earlier in the week, the embassy inaugurated a week-long photo exhibition commemorating Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, which presented a stark visual narrative of the atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK.

The Youm-e-Istehsal event was well-attended by members of the Pakistani-Belgian community, Pakistani students and Embassy officials, who expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advocating for their rights on the international stage.
