Islamabad: Parliamentary leader of PPP in Senate, Senator Sherry Rehman strongly condemned Israeli and Indian war crimes and called on the world to stop the genocide in Palestine and occupied Kashmir, carried out by Israel and India respectively.

Speaking on the floor of the house, Senator Sherry Rehman said, “Since October 7th, over 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred and about 97,000 have been injured. Heart-wrenching images of children and women from Palestine are emerging. We have not witnessed such genocide in our lifetime. The International Criminal Court has declared Israel’s actions as genocide and charged Netanyahu as a war criminal.”

Senator Sherry Rehman condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, stating, “By killing Ismail Haniyeh, Israel has sabotaged the peace and ceasefire process. Israel has not only disrupted peace but also violated international laws by attacking within Iran and Lebanon. Had it happened in any European country, the world would have responded differently. The whole world has witnessed this aggression and merely issued routine statements of condemnation.”

“Israel and India currently have free rein to carry out attacks anywhere, violating the world order. Israel has flagrantly violated all war laws. Israel is committing genocide in Palestine, and India is doing the same in occupied Kashmir. Both are occupying forces. Israel wants to perpetuate a state of war in the region. Israel is an illegal settler project and should be called as such,” Senator Rehman added.

She said, “Occupied Kashmir and Palestine have turned into open prisons. Israel is forcibly evicting Palestinians from their homes and settling others. We must not remain silent spectators to these 21st-century genocides. We should not stay silent on
