Bulgaria: Warning of hazardous weather for Bourgas district over forecast heavy rain

Sofia: Bulgaria’s national weather bureau has issued the Code Red warning of very hazardous weather for the Bourgas district for September 1 because of forecast heavy rain.

A Code Orange warning of hazardous weather was previously issued for the Bourgas district for August 31.

For September 1, the remaining districts of Bulgaria are classified Code Green, meaning that no weather warning is in place.

The weather bureau’s forecast for Sunday said that overnight, there would be short-term rainfall in places in south-eastern Bulgaria and mountainous areas, with significant rainfall along the south coast.

Sunday would be mostly cloudy across the country, with rain in places in the south-east in the morning, stopping around midday.
