Islamabad: – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) vice president Senator Sherry Rehman escaped unhurt in an alleged attack of PTI’s workers near Kulsoom Plaza here on Saturday, Dunya News reported.

Vehicle windows of the senator were broken in the attack. The PTI charged activists threw stones at her vehicle when they caught sight of the senator sitting in the vehicle.

Car windows were broken and the PPP leader remained unhurt in the attack.

With the news of the attack, political leaders from different parties showed concern and condemned the assault. They demanded action against those involved in damaging the car and attacking the PPP’s leader.

PTI had called a protest in Islamabad’s D-Chowk for ‘independent’ judiciary, release of party founder Imran Khan, and against inflation.

The government did not allow them to hold the demo at D-Chowk, fearing the protesters would not move till the start of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) submit in Islamabad on October 15.
