President returns after concluding visit to Turkmenistan
Islmabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday returned to Islamabad after concluding his two-day official visit to Turkmenistan.
During his stay in Ashgabat, the President Zardari attended the international forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development”.
President Zardari was in Turkmenistan to attend International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development” at Ashgabat.
Addressing the forum, President said that Pakistan and Turkmenistan shared a deep-rooted bond of brotherhood which was built on mutual respect and commonalities of faith and a shared vision for a better and peaceful future.
During his stay in Turkmenistan, Zardari held meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of Peoples Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.
President Zardari also held meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. During the meeting, both the Presidents underlined the need of further strengthening bilateral ties. The two sides exchanged best wishes and pleasant words for each other.
