At least 16 dead from a bus accident in Bulgaria
A bus carrying tourists has crashed near the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, leaving at least 16 people dead and 26 others injured, officials say.
Nikolay Gabrovski of the emergency service in Sofia said five people were seriously injured after a bus overturned while traveling on a highway on August 25.
Police said the accident happened in the town of Svoge, located 50 kilometers from Sofia.
According to the Police, the bus with tourists collided with four other cars.The Bulgarian authorities said that 33 pilgrims were traveling in the bus that crashed and were on their way to visit a monastery. After this accident, the Bulgarian Government declared August 27 a day of national mourning
