Brussels: Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Ali Raza Syed expressed his condolences on the passing of prominent the Europe based Pakistani intellectual Professor Dr. Aslam Syed.

In a statement, Chair of KCEU said, “on my behalf and behalf of other members of Kashmir Council Europe, I express our deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Prof. Dr. Aslam Syed.”

He added: “His profound contributions to academia, his dedication to fostering knowledge, and his unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of those around him will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.”

In his statement, Ali Raza Syed remembered Professor Dr. Aslam Syed as a great pro-Kashmir intellectual and added that the deceased was a great source of knowledge and he also played an important role in highlighting the Kashmir issue in Europe. All the members of Kashmir Council Europe appreciate his services for rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The deceased participated in many programs of Kashmir Council Europe and apart from these programs, he raised the rights of Kashmiris and Indian oppression of Kashmiris before the world. We value the selfless and impartial struggle of the deceased for protecting the rights of Kashmiris and against Indian atrocities on them.

Prof. Dr. Syed’s remarkable legacy in scholarship and public service has left an indelible mark behind. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find strength and enough courage in the memories of his exemplary life.

The great Pakistani philosopher and renowned thinker Professor Dr. Aslam Syed passed away on Sunday in Bonn, Germany.
