Bilawal Bhutto felicitates Pakistanis on Sindh Cultural Day

Islamabad: Felicitating the people of Pakistan on the Sindh Cultural Day, Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that the day represented Mehran Valley’s rich cultural heritage, strong values, tolerance and inclusion.

In his message in connection with the day, Bilawal said that Sindh was the land of Sufi saints who preached peace and tolerance. “This message of unity and brotherhood has been inspiring generations for the last several centuries,” he added.

He went on to say that Ajrak and Sindhi Cap were the identity of the people of the province and they are proud of them.

The PPP chairman stressed the need for taking more steps for the preservation and promotion of Sindh’s culture.

Calling the people of the province the inheritors of a rich heritage, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that nations were known by their culture. “Peace, brotherhood and tolerance are the hallmarks of Sindh’s civilization. And the people of the province are the most hospitable in the world,” he added.

Murad said that he was proud to have been born in the land of Sufis. “I and members of my family time and again got the opportunity to serve the province, which is a source of pride for me.”

US consul general in Karachi too felicitated the people of the province on the occasion. “Let’s pay rich tributes to Sindh’s traditions based on tolerance,” he said in his message.

He further said that Sindh was the land of Sufi saints, poets and scholars whose teachings remained a source of inspiration for generations.

German Consul-General Dr. Rudiger Lotz also extended his heartfelt greetings to Sindhi people on the occasion of Sindh Cultural Day being celebrated today (December 1, 2024) across Pakistan.

Wearing Ajrak and Sindhi Cap on his attire, the consul-general said that Sindh was the capital of cultural heritage of Pakistan.

He further said that Sindhi cultural also delivering a message of peace and love and friendship between Pakistan and Germany.

Sindh Cultural Day celebrated in New York

Sindh Cultural Day was also celebrated in the USA with a lot of enthusiasm.

A large number of people gathered at Times Square, sang Sindhi songs and congratulated each other.
