What will the weather be like for New Year in Portugal?

Lisbon: For Tuesday and Wednesday (New Year’s Eve and Day), the IPMA predicts slightly cloudy or clear skies, light to moderate wind from the east/southeast, sometimes moderate to strong in the highlands and mist or morning fog, especially in the northeast of Trás-os-Montes and in Beira Alta.

Minimum temperatures will vary between -1 (in Guarda) and 08 (in Faro) and maximum temperatures between 05/06 degrees (in Vila Real) and 16 (in Faro and Setúbal) on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Regarding maritime agitation, on the west coast the waves will be from the northwest with a significant height of 1 to 1.5 meters, decreasing to 1 meter on Wednesday, and on the south coast of the Algarve the waves will be from the southeast with less than 1 meter.

The sea water temperature on Wednesday will be between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius north of Cabo Raso, 16/17 degrees between Cabo Raso and Cabo São Vicente and 17/18 degrees on the south coast of the Algarve.
