Henan’s tourism revenue exceeds 1 trillion yuan in 2024

Zhengzhou: On January 6, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province held a press conference. Huang Dongsheng, director-general of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province, highlighted at the conference that the year 2024 witnessed significant growth in the province’s cultural and tourism sectors.

For the first time, Henan welcomed over 1 billion tourists, generating a total tourism revenue exceeding 1 trillion yuan. With its long supply chain and substantial impact on driving domestic demand and consumption, the cultural and tourism industry plays a crucial role in economic development.

Looking ahead to the first quarter of this year, with the successful inclusionof the “Spring Festival” on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list and an extended 8-day holiday, Henan’s cultural and tourism market is expected to reach new heights.
