NA expresses gratitude to President for addressing parliament

Islamabad: The National Assembly on Wednesday adopted a motion, expressing deep gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari for his address to both Houses of Parliament on April 18 last year.

Winding up the discussion, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar praised the President for his role in ensuring the continuity of Pakistan’s democratic journey, fostering patience and tolerance in the country’s politics, and strengthening the identity and unity of federating units.

“I express heartfelt gratitude to the President of Pakistan for addressing this respectable House,” he added.

The minister said that constitutional offices hold high esteem and respect in every democratic system, underscoring their pivotal role in governance.
