Germany’s Nations League quarterfinal against Italy is sold out in less than an hour
Rome: Germany have been notoriously poor in the UEFA Nations League since its’ inception. The European powerhouse would have suffered the humiliation of being relegated in the first ever edition of the tournament if not for UEFA revamping the competition, but even this save could not improve Germany’s ailing fortunes in the tournament. Until Julian Nagelsmann arrived.
The former Bayern Munich coach led Germany to the country’s first ever group win in the Nations League and therefore will also oversee the team’s first ever Nations League knockout round. In a heavyweight clash against bitter long time rivals Italy.
And it seems, via @iMiaSanMia, that the excitement for the game has gripped the fans:
Germany’s Nations League quarterfinal second leg against Italy in Dortmund is sold out within one hour of the start of public ticket sales.
Of all the good work Nagelsmann has done with Germany, bringing them further in the Nations League is probably lower down the list. But, clearly, it still means a lot to the fans.
