Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.29%
Rome: Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Inwit (BIT:INWT), which rose 1.19% or 0.12 points to trade at 10.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) added 1.13% or 0.07 points to end at 5.81 and Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) was unchanged 1.10% or 0.00 points to 0.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which fell 3.11% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.64 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 2.45% or 0.13 points to end at 5.25 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was down 2.27% or 0.26 points to 11.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 295 to 218 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.45% or 0.13 to 5.25.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.08% or 1.51 to $71.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.94% or 1.48 to hit $74.72 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 21.84 to trade at $2,897.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 107.28.
