Prio acquires 55 Q8 service stations in Portugal

Lisbon: Portuguese fuel retailer Prio has announced the completion of its acquisition of 55 Q8 fuel stations in Portugal.

This acquisition strengthens the company’s position in the local market and reflects its ongoing investment in accessible sustainable mobility and customer satisfaction in Portugal. With this takeover, the company now operates over 300 locations across the country.

The addition of these new sites also increases its integrated production capacity, including advanced bioenergy, distribution, and supply of conventional fuels, sustainable fuels and electric vehicle charging.

No significant structural changes are anticipated, as the teams currently operating across Q8’s network will be integrated into the organization.

This expansion reaffirms Prio Group’s commitment to the regulatory and legal stability of the Portuguese market. In addition to consolidating its competitive position and being closer to its customers, the company has also strengthened its commitment to investing in production capacity.
