Pakistan aims for more robust ties with the UK: Aurangzeb

Islamabad: The desire to work for more robust relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom was expressed by Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb.

He expressed this while speaking with British Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for the Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, Hamish Falconer, in Lisbon, Portugal.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including investment opportunities in Pakistan’s energy, minerals, and infrastructure sectors, were discussed.

Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that Pakistan and the United Kingdom have maintained close and cordial relations built on mutual trust and engagement, according to the press release.

The meeting also highlighted and appreciated the role of people-to-people connections through the Pakistani diaspora in strengthening bilateral ties.
