China-Europe freight train (Zhengzhou) trips in Jan soar 200% y-o-y

Zhengzhou: On February 20, with a long whistle, a China-Europe freight train loaded with goods such as bicycles, lawnmowers and diesel engines slowly departed from the CR Intermodal Zhengzhou Terminal.
“The train carries 55 containers and will exit China through the Alashankou Port in three days, heading for its destinations of Hamburgin Germany and Moscowin Russia,” said Wang Jing, the customs officer at Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co., Ltd. Last year, the company surpassed its annual target, operating a total of 3,601 China-Europe freight train trips from Zhengzhou, ranking second in China for departures from a single station.
As 2025 begins, the China-Europe freight trains (Zhengzhou) have been gaining momentum. In January, the China-Europe freight trains (Zhengzhou) made 315 trips, marking a 200% year-on-year increase. A total of 2,948 foreign trade companies have benefited from the China-Europe freight train (Zhengzhou) services, reflecting an 83% year-on-year increase, achieving a strong start to the new year.
Currently, the China-Europe freight trains (Zhengzhou) can handle over 1,600 types of cargo, including food, grain, automobiles and parts, and machinery. It has established a logistics network with 27 direct routes and 227 international stations, and the volume of trade is steadily expanding.
