US State Department spokesperson ignores question regarding Imran Khan

Washington: The United States Department of State spokesperson on Wednesday ignored a question regarding former prime minister Imran Khan.
During a press briefing, spokesperson Tammy Bruce was questioned about the US stance on Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) by a journalist.
The spokesperson, instead of replying to the question, expressed concern on global events, mentioned President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky’s telephonic conversation.
She said President Zelensky thanked the US for support and efforts toward peace in the region. She emphasized that negotiations for a complete ceasefire in a short time are the best course of action.
She mentioned that technical teams would engage in further discussions during a meeting in Saudi Arabia. The first agreement had helped reduce tensions, and the second agreement would lead to the complete elimination of conflicts.
It was the second time that the spokesperson ignored the question about Imran Khan. A similar question was asked on March 6 by the same journalist and she ignored the question.
