Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid conducted a live E-Katcheri session at BISP Headquarters on Thursday to listen to the issues faced by the beneficiaries of the programme.
During the session, Senator Rubina Khalid directly interacted with beneficiaries via BISP’s official Facebook account, listening to their problems and ordered immediate resolutions of their complaints.
Over the one-hour live session, 33 people from across the country called in. The callers asked questions related to their enrollment in Benazir Income Support Programme, eligibility criteria, and stipend information for the Benazir Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma programmes. Senator Rubina Khalid addressed their queries on the spot and directed officers/officials to resolve the issues on war footing basis.
Chairperson Rubina Khalid advised callers to have their identity cards and mobile phone numbers ready when participating in the E-Katcheri session to save time and allow more people the opportunity to call in. She informed the beneficiaries that there is no fee for the dynamic survey of Benazir Income Support Programme.
She also clarified that 8171 is the only official SMS number through which deserving women receive payment messages and cautioned against trusting any other number.
Senator Rubina Khalid further instructed BISP beneficiaries that only after receiving a payment message from 8171, beneficiaries should go to the designated payment campsite to collect their money.
In order to avoid inconvenience and overcrowding at the campsites, she advised the beneficiaries not to visit the campsite without receiving the payment messages from 8171.
Additionally, she urged beneficiaries not to share their CNICs unnecessarily to prevent misuse. “We are committed to ensuring fair and transparent payments to deserving women,” stated Rubina Khalid.
