Interior Ministry advises on Serbian motorcycle club visiting Bulgaria

Sofia: A Serbian motorcycle club is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Balkan tour that is passing through Bulgaria from August 4 to 9, Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry said.

At the request of the organizers, the group is expected to include about 150 motorcycles, the ministry said.

According to the itinerary, they were to enter Bulgaria through the border crossing – Kalotina around 5pm to 6pm on August 4 and head to Pancharevo.

On August 5, at about 8am, they will leave Sofia and head for Kazanluk, using the sub-Balkan route.

Later, they will head to Stara Zagora and from there they will head on the Trakiya motorway to the ring road of Bourgas to reach their final point – the town of Kiten on Bulgaria’s southern Black Sea coast.

At all times the convoy will be under the control of police officers.

Given the complexity of the route, Bulgaria’s traffic police appealed to the public who will be travelling on the same route to show patience and tolerance or choose another route.

The motorcyclists will return to Serbia on August 9, travelling on the Trakiya and Europa motorways.

Serbia has several motorcycle clubs and the Bulgarian Interior Ministry statement did not say to which one it was referring.
