Chinese delegation keen to contribute to Islamabad’s progress
Islamabad: A Chinese delegation met with Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa to discuss potential investment opportunities in Islamabad’s development projects. The delegation expressed a strong interest in contributing to the city’s progress, particularly in the realm of sustainable energy.
A significant portion of the discussion centered around a project to transition the CDA offices and streetlights to solar energy, a move that aligns with Pakistan’s broader goals of advancing renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions.
This initiative underscores China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s environmental objectives and infrastructure development.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa warmly welcomed the Chinese investors, emphasizing Islamabad’s openness to global partnerships, especially with China. He assured the delegation that the CDA would provide full support to facilitate their investments, reinforcing the strategic importance of these collaborations.
In addition to the solar energy project, the meeting also explored other key initiatives, including the establishment of a Silicon Valley in Islamabad and the development of Four Tier Data projects aimed at boosting the IT sector. These projects were presented as significant opportunities for growth and investment, with details shared to highlight their potential impact.
Following the discussions, Randhawa announced that work on the feasibility plans for these projects would begin soon, expressing his appreciation for China’s proactive approach to investing in Pakistan. He emphasized that such initiatives would not only enhance Islamabad’s infrastructure but also further solidify the strong ties between Pakistan and China.
